This one’s a heartwarming (yeah, I said it) tribute to Next Friday (2000). I was very pleasantly surprised.. No one’s heard from Ali for a while, so this means a lot.

I mean, I was way too young for that movie when it came out, haha, so I had to check it later on. And Ali Tomineek’s younger than I am so I know he’s a real one. That’s why I like this kid!

You know what it is to discover that an artist you’ve listened to for 15 years has an entirely different music career that you knew nothing about?

For all of you Ugly Duckling heads out there (I see the likes whenever I drop a track from them, I see you)… You’ve got to holler at your man Dizzy Dustin, who has been grinding like crazy, collaborating, outside of the box flows, making amazing music outside of Ugly Duckling all these years. Who knew??

But seriously, who knew? Did any of you know about his other projects like Blown Celebs, Kamikazi Airlines, his collab with Masta Ace?

I feel like I’ve been lied to, bumping my favourite UD songs, appreciating Dizzy’s simple flows, rhymes that fit with and supported UD’s fun, light-hearted sound. No, no, no, dude’s got many kinds of flows, lots of different sounds he can rock to. I’m on a mission to try to make some more collabs happen with this man. It’s a secret mission, haha, who knows, but as fans I think we can help to put the idea out there.
